What does 5 MOA red dot mean?
The “MOA” listed on the product parameters of red dot sights means minutes of angle, it shows how large the center dot of a reflex sight will appear on a target that is 100 yards away. So “5 MOA” refers to the center dot will cover 5 inches in diameter at 100 yds.
5 MOA vs 2 MOA, is a 5 MOA red dot better?
A 5 MOA red dot scope has a bigger center dot than a 2 MOA red dot. Usually, bigger dots are perfect for speedy aiming, fast shooting and for those with astigmatism. If you find a 2 MOA red dot too small to see clearly or if you have astigmatism, then a 5 MOA red dot will suit you better.
Red Dot VS Green Dot, What's the difference?
Why does this reflex sight have two-color illuminated dots? In fact, it is designed for different conditions. Green dot sights can work better under strong light conditions than a red dot sight. Click our blog ‘Red Dot VS Green Dot‘ to learn more about it.
